Online Therapy for Overwhelemed Adults in Maryland

A therapeutic experience designed for meaningful progress through consistent weekly support.

Many people worry that weekly therapy means talking about the same things forever, or stirring up old wounds without real progress.

That's not how we work.

Our trauma-informed therapy sessions are guided by clear goals and a shared understanding that therapy should help you move forward—not re-experience the past.

Anyone can talk. You come here for lasting relief.

Therapy That Moves Somewhere

Whether we're doing Brainspotting, parts work, attachment therapy, IFS, polyvagal, or somatic methods, we'll reflect on your goals each and every session, to ensure we're heading in the right direction.

Our approach to weekly therapy may be a good fit if:

  • You prefer a steady, paced approach to healing

  • You want support while navigating ongoing stressors in real time

  • You’d like help recognizing and shifting patterns in relationships, parenting, or self-expectations

  • You benefit from consistent accountability and reflection

  • Your schedule allows for a regular weekly appointment

You have the option to add an extended session or intensive therapy at any time.

If you're like many of our clients, you might appreciate having a predictable space each week to process, recalibrate, and move forward

What progress looks like

As we work together, many clients notice changes such as:

  • Feeling less emotionally reactive

  • Greater steadiness during stressful moments

  • More awareness of your internal and external landscapes

  • Clearer boundaries in relationships

  • Reduced impact of past experiences

  • More confidence in parenting and decision-making

"There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind."

C.S. Lewis

Since we're revisiting goals during our sessions, we naturally notice when therapy is needed less often, and when we're ready to finish.   â€‹

Therapy isn’t meant to last forever. The goal is for you to leave with greater freedom, practical tools, and confidence in your ability to navigate what comes next.

Christian-integrated counseling is available for those who seek it.  Sojourn Well welcomes individuals of all faiths and practices.

Where To Begin

All therapy begins with an initial phone call to determine if our practice is right for you.

When you call, we'll briefly discuss your interest in working with us and our mutual availabilities to hold sessions.  Once we've agreed to proceed, we'll:

1. Schedule your initial telehealth visit, and possibly our routine session schedule.

2.  Complete intake paperwork and set up payment.

3.  Receive a confirmation email with your link for attending the initial session.

We're available by phone, text, or email if you enounter any snags along the way.
